Today’s video is all about what’s going on when body image issues come down to a need/desire for control—and how obsessively controlling our bodies is actually about controlling some other aspect of ourselves!
Sometimes obsessive body control means you’re loyal to counting macros, and get really upset if someone invites you to a last minute brunch that you didn’t “account” for in your macros for the week.
Sometimes it means wearing mascara no matter what, sleeping in it if you have to, to make sure that nobody ever sees your face without it.
And sometimes it means weighing yourself every morning, and changing how you eat and exercise that day based on the number you see.
